Carl "Chris" Christopher Phillips

Carl Christopher “Cowboy” Phillips, an honored member of the Phillips family, 41, of S. NC Highway 150, died Thursday, August 27, 2015, at his home. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Catawba College Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Foster officiating. The family will receive friends at the Catawba College Chapel prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. and other times at the home. Mr. Phillips was born September 13, 1973, in Pittsylvania County, Va., to Carl Laverne Phillips and Deborah Marie Flora Phillips. He was a fire fighter for the Locke Township, and Churchland Fire Department; a member of NC Firemen Association and Davidson County Public Safety Association. Surviving are his loving wife, Elisabeth Irene Coggins Phillips of the home; a daughter, Lillian Irene Phillips of the home; honorary brothers, Michael Everhart, Ryan Swink and Bradon Weaver.
