Carl Riley Mashburn

Carl Riley Mashburn, age 68 of Forest Hill Rd., Lexington died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 in Forsyth Medical Center after an extended illness. A Graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm Satuday, July 16, 2011 at Paul’s Chapel United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. Dave Ambroso officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 pm at Davidson Funeral Home prior to the Graveside service and other times at the home of Linda’s mother, 13 Forest Hill Road. Mr. Mashburn was born September 7, 1942 in Randolph County, NC to Riley Lee Mashburn and Mae Church Mashburn. He attended Paul’s Chapel United Church of Christ and was retired from Young Hinkle Furniture Co. His parents preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Linda Sherrill Jones Mashburn of the home; a son, Carl Lee Mashburn of Texas; step-daughter, Wendy Coe; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren, Brittany Rich, Robert Rich III and two sisters, Evon and Doris.
