Carl Alden Ward

Carl Alden Ward, 65, of Briggstown Road, died Thursday, November 05, 2015, at Hinkle Hospice House. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Harper, of True Light Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter on Hunters Path Court. Mr. Ward was born October 13, 1950, in Davidson County, to Carl Authur Ward and Mary Elizabeth Barnes Ward. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Research Tech at PPG. He loved to fish at Kure Beach and his job and co-workers at PPG. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Barnhardt. Surviving are his loving wife Pam Tussey Ward of the home; daughter, Carla Singleton and husband Michael of Lexington; grandchild, Drew Singleton; brother, Tommy Barnes and wife Jenny of Lexington; and his pet cat, Tori. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. The family wishes to thank the staff at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center and Hinkle Hospice House for the care given to Mr. Ward during his illness.
