Ms. Carla Warner Robbins, 81, of Old Thomasville Rd., went to be with her Savior on Sunday, October 11, 2026.

She was born on July 28, 1945, in Davidson County, to the late Brady Holton Warner, Sr. and the late Clara Berrier Warner.

A retired educator, Ms. Robbins, graduated from North Davidson High School, held a B.S. in Education from Western Carolina University, a Masters in Middle Grade Education from Appalachian State University, an Ed. Specialist Degree in Administration and Curriculum from Appalachian State University, and worked toward her Doctorate in Curriculum from UNC at Greensboro. An educator for more than 40 years, she taught Gifted Education at North Davidson Middle School for 23 years, where she opened up new worlds to her students. The time she spent with them had a major impact on their lives. For the remainder of her career, she served as assistant principal at Hasty, Pilot, Fair Grove, and Brier Creek Elementary Schools. Ms. Robbins also worked as co-director of Kiwanis Kiddie Kamp with her husband during the summer for 11 years.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronnie Robbins, in 1996; a brother, Brady "Butch" Warner, Jr. in 2023; and a sister, Lynn Sink in 2024.

Survivors include her daughter, Kerri Varner and her husband, Dustin Varner, of Midway, NC; her son, Matthew C. Robbins of Raleigh, NC; her grandchildren, Kyrstin and Kate Varner; nieces, Sheryl Atwell, Leah Anton, Tara Robbins, and Megan Robbins.

Ms. Donaia Robinson provided loving and compassionate care each day for Ms. Robbins over the last 3 years of her life, allowing her to remain at home.

Ms. Robbins loved the presence of the Lord at High Rock Community Church of Lexington for as long as she was physically able to attend; she "fought the good fight, finished the course, and kept the faith." She was "one of a kind" and will be missed.

A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2026, at Canaan United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
