Carlene Foust Clodfelter, 87, of Davidson County, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Hinkle Hospice House.
There are no formal services at this time.
Carlene was born on November 28, 1937, in Davidson County, to the late Everett Wesley Foust and Rosa Clodfelter Foust. She was a lifelong member of Midway Church and dedicated much of her time to various ministries, above all working with the children. As the Assistant Director of Midway Church Daycare, she displayed her love by caring for the kids and guiding them throughout their day.
Her devotion to nurturing extended not only to her church but also to her family. Carlene adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and would do anything in the world for them. Her daughters remember the active love she portrayed as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Along with the innate care she bestowed upon others, the joy she found in the pets she had over the years, especially dogs, shone through her works of compassion.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death and reunited with the love of her life, John Archie Clodfelter; beloved daughter, Robin Branson; a brother, H.B. Foust; and a sister, Betty Perryman.
Left to carry her light are her three daughters, Rosalie Perrell (Keith), of Winston-Salem, Rhonda Dillon (Johnny), of Winston-Salem, and Ree Goodson (Craig), of Clemmons; nine grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Midway Global Methodist, 9795 Old US Hwy 52, Lexington, NC 27295.
