Carlos Belle Neal, 90, of Pauline Drive, Lexington died Monday, March 31, 2014 at his residence.
A Graveside service will be held at Noon on Thursday at National Cemetery in Salisbury with Rev. Daniel Miller officiating. Burial with full military honors by Davidson County Honor Guard will follow the service
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.
Mr. Neal was born August 22, 1923 in Fayette County, WV to Harmon Neal and Maude Neal Neal. Carlos was a retired employee of Union Carbide and a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. He was a US Army Veteran having served during WWII in the European Campaign where he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Medal with four battle stars. Preceding him in death were his parents and a daughter, Christina Neal.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Sapp Neal of the home; two sons, Allan Neal (Paula) of Tennessee, Roger Neal of WV; a daughter, Melanie Broyles (Rick) of Kill Devil Hills, NC; two grandchildren, Mackenzie Broyles, Rachel Hunt (Ryan); two great grandchildren, Hannah, Rylan; and a sister, Barbara Wickline of Meadow Bridge, WVA.
