Carmellene Furr Warner, 86, of Davidson County, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026.
Born on May 23, 1939, in Davidson County, Carmellene was the daughter of the late Grover Lee Furr and Margie Yarborough Furr. She was raised in the community she loved and remained deeply rooted there throughout her life.
Carmellene was a devoted member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she committed her life to Christ and cultivated a loving and faithful church family. Her faith guided her daily life, and she was known for her kindness, quiet strength, and caring spirit toward all who knew her.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Carmellene is survived by her sons, Jeremy Warner (Dawn) and William Warner (Lisa); her cherished grandchild and step-grandchildren, Jarrett Warner, Ronald Baumes, and Chris Baumes; and her sisters, Phyllis Smith and Elaine Furr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Robert Lee Warner; her brother, Robert Furr; and her sister, Dolly Furr.
A funeral service celebrating Carmellene’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home of Lexington. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. A committal service will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 902 S. Main St., Lexington, NC 27292.
Carmellene will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her love for family, and the gentle grace with which she lived her life.
