Carol Marlene Anderson, 81, of, passed away Wednesday October 21, 2020 at her home on Regents Center Lane in Lexington.
Mrs. Anderson was born July 23, 1939 in Chautauqua County New York to Charles Francis Anderson and Eloese Long Anderson. Carol graduated from Jamestown High School in 1957 and attended Jamestown Business College and Robert Wesleyan College. With her business background, she worked at various CPA firms and Public Relations firms while living in Jamestown and Rochchester New York.
In Rochester, she also worked for the Deputy Director at Hillside Children’s Center, volunteering with inter-city children and programs to prevent child abuse. Carol also volunteered for Compeer, American Red Cross, Unity Church and with children at three YMCA’s in New York State and Arizona.
She volunteered with Big Brother’s and Big Sisters, and the Verde Valley Sactuary for Abused Women. She facilitated weekly meetings at Yavapai County Juvenile Jail with children 8 to 18. She helped to oversee outreach programs for the homeless and poor through Christ Lutheran Church in Sedona Arionza, and on the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. Carol was a licensed Hypnotherapist and conducted meditation classes. She was active in Twelve Step Programs all over the USA.
Carol began her wedding ministry in Phoenix and Northern Arizona, marrying over 2,000 couples throughout the US, known as Lord of Rose ministries. She also officiated many weddings throughout the Finger Lakes Area and upstate New York. As a youth, Carol was a previous member of Westminister Presbyterian Church in Jamestown, and also Bethel Lutheran and St. Timothy Lutheran Church where she sang in the Choirs and loved teach ing children.
Carol’s heart laid in the Unity Church of Christianity all over the US and Europe and she helped with the Unity movement in the Netherlands. Carol had opportunity of traveling through Israel and the Holy Land for many weeks, and meeting all faiths and religions which she embraced. She was preceded in death by her parents, her second husband Brent Gosson, her first husband, Ralph W. Anderson, her stepfather Leland Peters and a step-brother Robert Peters.
Surviving are three sons; Michael Anderson (Mary) of Ohio, Randall Anderson (Mary Ann) of Ohio and David Anderson(Brenda) of Linwood; 7 grandchildren; Christopher Anderson, Chad Anderson, Matthew Anderson, Ken Marotte (Jessie), Kelly Anderson, Ryan Anderson and Jenna Anderson and 2 great-grandchildren; Mason Eric Anderson and Imogen Marotte.
