Carol Ann Morris Carter

Carol Ann Morris Carter 76 of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 12, 2016 at New Friendship Baptist Church 4258 Old Lexington Road, Winston Salem, NC 27107 with the Rev. Chris Byrne officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel from 6 to 8 PM Friday, March 11, 2016. Carol was born in Covington, KY on March 27, 1939 to Edgar Emory Morris and Lorena Catherine Ashcroft Morris. She was a homemaker and baby sitter of children for over 40 years along with ironing for others. She was also a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Phillip Dean Morris, Marvin Morris and son in-law James Infinger. Surviving are two sons, Willis Edgar Carter of the home, William Sanford Carter (Kaoru Koike) of Japan; a daughter, Kathern Carter Infinger Wherry (Brian) of Welcome; a brother, Douglas Morris of Maryville, AL; one sister, Ida Jean James of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren, Toshino Nathanielle Carter, Christopher James Infinger and Lillian Christine Infinger. The family wants to say a special thank you to a special friend Shirley Ruszkokski, who took care of Carol for several years with Bayada Nurses. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Friendship Baptist Church, 4258 Old Lexington Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27107. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
