Carol Rebecca Hibbett

Carol Rebecca Hibbett, 87, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2024, in Advance, North Carolina, returning to her Heavenly Father.

Carol was born on March 27, 1937, in Davidson County to the late Donald and Rebecca Craft Sr. Surviving are her sons, Richard Hibbett (Emi) of Lexington, David Hibbett Jr. (Kimberly) of Winston-Salem, Tim Hibbett (Teresa) of Thomasville, and William Hibbett (Donna) of Virginia; daughter, Catherine Syphers (Scott) of Raleigh; brother, Donald Craft Jr. (Jackie) of Thomasville; sisters, Marion Hibbett of Winston-Salem, Margaret Schneider of South Carolina; eleven Grandchildren; and thirteen Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Hibbett.

Carol was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family very much. Carol was a great friend, who never met a stranger and had the gift of gab.  Carol was always seeking knowledge and loved to discuss a variety of topics like religion, medicine, and politics. She was funny, humble, compassionate and never put her needs in front of other’s needs.  Her lifelong kindness, service, and selflessness will be remembered and appreciated by many. Carol was very creative and could make anything from costumes to clothes to pocketbooks to custom made draperies. She was a hard worker. Carol was a devoted member of the church. She held many callings, but her specialty was with the youth. She was an amazing leader and advocate for the young women of the church, and they loved having her in their life.  She endured to the end with charity and grace. She will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 11:15 am Monday, June 17, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Winston-Salem.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, June 17, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Winston-Salem.
