Carol Ruanne McKoin Culler, 63, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Hedricks Grove United Church of Christ.
Ruanne was born on February 17th, 1963, in Thomasville, to the late Charles Clayton McKoin Jr. and Jean Hedrick McKoin.
Ruanne was deeply involved in her church and cherished the time she spent with her church family. She was a woman of many interests and talents, with a love of learning and adventure. She was educated in electrical engineering and later found her career as a paralegal, most recently working with Smith, Gambrell & Russell. Her creative side led her to theatre, where she enjoyed working in stage makeup. Ruanne loved to travel and was a true California roadie, always enjoying the journey as much as the destination. She also loved horseback riding and playing the piano. Whether traveling, working backstage, riding horses, playing music, or serving at church, Ruanne embraced the many different experiences that made her life uniquely her own.
Along with her parents, Ruanne was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Culler, and her brother, Charles Clayton McKoin III.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Katie Culler; mother-in-law, Janet Culler; extended family and friends; and her beloved fur babies.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Davidson County Animal Shelter. 490 Glendale Rd #5828, Lexington, NC 27292.
