Carol Shoaf Phillips

Mrs. Carol Shoaf Phillips, 82, of Reedy Creek Baptist Church Road, died Monday, October 4 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 4pm Saturday, October 9 at Reedy Creek Baptist Church, by the Revs. Ben Farrell and Gary Jones and Egbert Craven. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service

Mrs. Phillips was born July 23, 1939 in Davidson County to John Willie Shoaf and Mammie Perryman Shoaf. She retired from Hekman Furniture and was a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church. Her sisters, Audrey Everhart and Anna Lynn Potts, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Buford Gray Phillips of the home; her son, Eddie Wayne Philips and fiancee’ Clara Love, of Lexington; her daughter, Vickie Phillips Jones and husband, Gary, of Lexington; her brothers, James C. Shoaf and wife, Virginia, and Alfred Shoaf, both of Lexington; her grandchildren, Tabatha Jones Theis (Andrew), Holly Jones Crawford (Justin), Kerrie Jones Crawford (Aaron) and Dylan Phillips (Brooke); and her great-grandchildren, Jordan Leonard, Jailyn Leonard, Easton Theis, Brooklyn Crawford, Connor Crawford, Madelyn Crawford, Owen Crawford, and Willow Phillips.

In lieu of flower, memorials should be made to the donor’s choice.
