Caroline Morris Tysinger

Caroline Morris Tysinger, age  86, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend of Lexington passed away Sunday morning, October 6, 2019 at Lexington Health Care with family by her side.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 11, 2019 in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. Jim Luck officiating. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 1:30 PM, prior to the service.

Caroline was born in Davidson County September 8, 1933 to Lee Curnel Morris and Elizabeth Sink Morris. She was a retired secretary with the Davidson County Tax Office and a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ. Caroline was a graduate of Ashmore Business College. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald Rayvon Tysinger in 2013; a granddaughter, Lindsey Alexander; sisters, Florence McLeod, Lucille Swing, Zella Mae Burkhart and Dorothy Tysinger; brothers, Calvin Morris, Vernon Morris, Willie Morris and Edmond Morris.

Surviving are her daughter, Donna Alexander (Jim) of Raleigh, NC; sons, Charles Tysinger (Tammy) and Gary Tysinger (Robin) all of Lexington; grandchildren, Alison Tysinger, Drew Tysinger, Dawn Swicegood, Tyler Alexander and Matthew Alexander; great-grandchildren, Emily, Caleb, Abby and Ada Swicegood; sister, Joann Allred of Lexington; brother, Larry Morris (Jan) of Thomasville; and extended family member, Bobbi Fritts of Lexington.
