Carolyn was born December 4, 1937, in Davidson County to Cleveland Woodrow Everhart and Eula Lee Richardson Everhart. She worked at Erlanger Mills and later in life at Everhart Landscaping. Carolyn loved her flowers and her family. She was always doing all she could to help anyone in need. She attended Arrington Heights Free Will Baptist Church and loved her church family immensely. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, to whom she was married for 44 years, Noah Lee Barker; a son, Randy Barker and a sister, Barbara Steed; and broth-in-laws, Eddie Steed and Calvin Caudle
Carolyn’s love for her family was like an everlasting bed of roses, that continues to blossom. She showed strength, comfort, healing, and warmth to everyone. Her beauty is compared to a sunny day that shines upon each rose petal and inspires hope.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Darrell Barker of the home; her daughter-in-law, Lou Ann Barker; sister, Nancy Caudle; brothers, Jerry Everhart (Nancy), Richard Everhart, Johnny Everhart (Saundra); grandchildren, Brandon Dobey, Chad Barker (Megan), Nathan Barker (Callie) and great-grandchildren, Mason Barker, Chesley Barker and Caroline Barker. Also extended family member Perry (Red) Hensley, who was a special companion of Carolyn for more than 15 years. She loved him and his family very much.
In lieu of flower, donations may be made to Arrington Heights Free Will Baptist Church, 455 Free Will Circle, Lexington, NC 27295.
