Carolyn Bruff

Carolyn Cassidy Bruff, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully from this life on October 25, 2026 at the age of 88 at Hinkle House in Lexington, NC. 

Carolyn was born in Lexington, NC to the late Abe Cassidy and Mildred Cassidy. Carolyn was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. In her passing, her family remembers her strength and how she was a prayer warrior for her family and had a deep faith in God. She loved sewing and when her children were small she sewed their clothing. Carolyn also loved to make baby quilts for family and friends. 

Along with her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Hoyle J. Bruff, Jr., her son Martin Dale Bruff, her sister Linda Cassidy and her grandson Gregory Bruff. Left to cherish her memories are her brother, Abe R Cassidy (Lynne), daughter, Missy Mickel (Sammy), three sons, Eddie (Linda), Michael (Kim) and Joey (Dawn); seven grandchildren, Annette, Samantha, Sarah, Emily, Margie, Aynsley; and three great-grandchildren, Rose, Elaina and Mateo. 

Visitation will be on Monday, November 2nd from 11 AM to 12 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, 301 North Main Street, Lexington, NC 27292. A graveside memorial service will be on Monday, November 2nd at Lexington City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alderwood (Hospice) of Davidson County.
