Carolyn Jean Carlile

Carolyn Jean Carlile, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on September 22, 2024. She was born on January 16, 1950, in Rowan County to Wallace Cline Carlile and Imogene Smith Carlile.

A member of Tyro Methodist Church, Carolyn’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found joy in nurturing her family and sharing love with those around her. Carolyn is remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the unwavering support she offered her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Teddy and Patrick Carlile. Carolyn is survived by her two daughters, Kristie Trantham (Tim) and Valerie Jones (Brian); her brother, Larry Carlile; her sister, Lori Lanier (Phil); five cherished grandchildren, Emily Moorefield (Andy), Addi Jones, Evan Jones, Ella Trantham, and Eli Trantham; and one great-grandchild, Kelsey Moorefield. Carolyn also leaves behind her significant other, William Beckman, who brought her much joy.

A private service will be held at a later date to honor Carolyn’s life and legacy. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
