Carolyn Crisp Latham

Carolyn Crisp Latham, 69, of Swansboro, formerly of Lexington, was an angel on this earth who gained her Heavenly wings on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Mrs. Latham was born in Lexington, NC on January 27, 1951 to the late Reverend Mack F. Crisp and his wife Carrie Bollinger Crisp.

She grew up in Erlanger and graduated from Lexington Senior High School in 1969. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, affectionate grandmother, proud sister, and caring friend whose memory will be cherished forever. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her seven siblings and her cherished dogs Ginger and Sampson.

Left to treasure her memory include her loving husband of 51 years, Johnny Michael Latham, her daughter Julie Latham and significant other Skeeter of Winston-Salem, her son Clint Latham and wife ReBecca of Coats, NC; her sister Eva Craver; her grandchildren Alex, Caden and Charleigh Kate Latham; her dog Frisco; sisters-in-law Renee, Joy, Jamie, and Marie, Jeanna and Jamela and their families; special friends Steve and Joan Blevins, Allen and Judy Davis, Ricky and Angie Terry, and next door neighbors Felton and Delores Jones.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 2pm. Presiding over the service will be Preacher David Hedrick of Promise Baptist Church, Thomasville. After the service, if anyone would like to visit, the family will be at the home of Steve and Joan Blevins, 355 Granite Trail, Lexington, NC 27295. If you would like to send flowers, please send them to the Blevins’ address.
