Carolyn Swicegood Long 69 of Old Thomasville Rd., Winston-Salem, NC died August 23, 2016 at her home. There will be a memorial service at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 3rd, 2016 with Rev. Aaron Long officiating. Mrs. Long was born on April 3, 1947 in Davidson County to Webster Graham and Ethel Leonard Swicegood. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Sammy K. Long of the home; daughters, Gwyn Long of Lexington and Robin Long of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren, Samantha Moore and Patrick Moore of Winston-Salem, Kyle Winters of Lexington; sisters, Betsy Tobin Alverez (Frank) of Bulverde, TX and Jean Boder (Larry) of Chesterfield, VA; nieces, Diane Tobin of Bulverde, TX, Jeannine Alexander of Bogart, GA, Charlene Thompson of Richmond, VA; nephews, Aaron Long of Lexington, Christian Long of Winston-Salem and a very special friend Lacy.
