Carolyn Jane Rachel

Carolyn Jane Cooper Rachel, 86, of Winston-Salem passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Salem Terrace Nursing Home.

A 2:00 PM graveside service is planned for Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

Carolyn was born on April 27, 1934, in Forsyth County, NC to Thomas Cooper and Martha Binge Cooper.

Her parents and husband, Walter Vincent Rachel, Sr. preceded her in death.

Family members left to honor her memory include her five sons, Walter Rachel, of Winston-Salem; Thomas Rachel, of Lexington; Billy Rachel, of Washington, DC; Bobby Rachel, of Summerville, SC; and Scotty Rachel, of Midway; daughter, Penny Sue Rachel, of Virginia; several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jim Cooper, of Rocky Mount, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
