Carolyn Lambe Tester

Carolyn Marie Lambe Tester, age 77 of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1pm at the church prior to the service.

Carolyn was born on November 16, 1946, in Rowan County, NC, to John Bates Lambe and Thelma Marie Shumaker Lambe. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. Carolyn loved the Lord, and her faith was important to her, and is what carried her through life. She also passed that love along to her children and grandchildren. Family was a large part of Carolyn’s life, and she loved her husband and family immensely. In her spare time, she also enjoyed yard work and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Scotty and Nicky Tester; a grandson Ivan Hartman and brothers, Jerry, and Robbie Lambe.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Odell Tester, of the home; daughter Anita Love (Mike) of Lexington; three grandchildren, Megan Hartman (Nathan), Caleb Love (Lindsey), Joshua Love (Annika); five great-grandchildren, Maverick Hartman, Maxton Hartman, Atticus Hartman, Easton Love and Hallie Love.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Grace Baptist Church, 3305 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
