Carrie Sightler

Carrie Adrene Lackey Sightler, 79, of Dacotah Street, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at her home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by Preacher Clyde Akers. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home. Mrs. Sightler was born Nov. 24, 1933, in Cabarrus County to James Edward Lackey and Eula Milsap Lackey. She was of the Baptist faith and had worked at the Brian Center in the laundry. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lawrence Edward Sightler; brothers Jimmy Lackey, John L. Lackey, Junior Lackey and Carl Lackey; and sister Nora Lee Curry. Surviving are sons Rick Guske and wife Jody of Illinois, Jim Guske and wife Pennie of Maryland, and Randy Guske and wife Cindy and Brian Sightler and wife Nickie, all of Lexington; daughter DeLane Reiszel and husband Paul of Lexington; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister Vivian Harmon of Gastonia.
