Carson “Bo” Carlton, 83, of Rowe Road, died Monday, March 17, 2008, at Lexington Health Care.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Matthew Farabow and Bobby Beck. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park with Masonic graveside rites.
Mr. Carlton was born September 28, 1924, in Davidson County, to Mack Theodore Carlton and Ester Eller Carlton. He was plant manager at Burlington Industries, a member of Shiloh Methodist Church and a member of the Oasis Shrine Temple in Charlotte. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a Master Mason of Lexington Memorial 473. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Eddie Carlton, Clyde Carlton and Jack Carlton; and sisters, Beulah Williams and Northa Brown.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Koonts Carlton of the home; son, Gregory C. Carlton and wife, Shelley, of Lexington; granddaughters, Abby Carlton and Rachel Carlton, both of Lexington; brothers, Paul Carlton of Lexington and Hulin Carlton of Pilot Mountain; and a sister, Emma Somers of Thomasville.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
