Cassie Cranford

Cassie Renee Thomas Cranford, 39, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Hinkle House Hospice after a short illness.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM,  Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00.

Cassie was born November 3, 1984 in LA Porte, IN to David Harold Thomas and Kathie Ables Byrd.

She is preceded in death by her father, as well as her grandparents, Sid and Ruth Ables, of Arkansas, and her grandmother, Ella Thomas of Tennessee.

Left to cherish her memories are her mother and step-father, Tim Byrd, her son, Kenneth Cranford of Lexington, her daughter, Lila Cranford Nellums (Xavier) of Bennett, sister, Danielle Weidner (Chris), and grandchild, Georgia Nellums, and a very special friend, Quincy Smith.

Cassie never met a stranger. She had an infectious smile and the biggest heart. She will be greatly missed by all.
