Catherine Andrews

Mrs. Catherine Medlin Andrews, 80, of Albert Drive, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Hinkle Hospice House after declining health. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 2 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Revs. Bill O’Neal and Roy Franks. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mrs. Andrews was born January 26, 1931 in Davidson County to Roy Lee Medlin and Mae Davis Medlin. She retired from Alpha II Plastics and was a member of Calvary Family Worship Center. Her brother, R.L. Medlin, Jr., preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Richard Taft Andrews of the home; her sons, Ricky Andrews of Salisbury, and Mike Barrier and wife, Eleanor, of Denton; her daughters, Amy Franks, and husband, Jimmy, Julie Gooch and husband, Trevor, and Patricia Barrier, all of Lexington; her grandchildren, Billy Barrier, and wife, Allison, Patrick Tysinger and wife, Beth, Zachary Barrier, Jill Luth and husband, Greg, Kristin Hicks, Emily Franks, and Joshua Franks; and her great grandchildren, Taft and Tucker Luth, and Noah and Jacob Tysinger.
