Cecil Dale Mason

Cecil Dale Mason, 80, of Hillview Drive in Lexington, passed away Thursday March 23. 2023, at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Sunday March 26, 2023, at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel, with Pastor Gerald Shean and Rev. Hoyt Mason officiating services.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Mr. Mason was born March 1, 1943 in Macon County North Carolina to George Mason and Ola Haney Mason. He attended Grace Journey Church. Cecil enjoyed Gardening, raising chickens and junking. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Eugene Mason, Charles Mason and Howard Mason; four sisters, Olene Guffey, Helen Hornaday, Della Grant, and Barbara Kennedy; two brother-in-laws Doyle Day and Gene Bryant; and two sister-in-laws Edna Mason and Ann Mason.

Surviving hi his wife, Claudiette Karen Mullins Mason of the home; four sons, Tony Mason of Andrews North Carolina, Kenneth Mason of Wilmington North Carolina, Shawn Cutlip (Amanda) of Lexington and Aaron Gray of Tyro (Tiffany); one Daughter, Candace Erford (Robbie) of Carthage North Carolina; one brother, Jack Mason(Kitty) of Archdale; five sisters, Mary Lou Day of Trinity, Ann Hooper (Johnny) of Topton North Carolina, Gertrude Cecil of High Point, Naomi Mason of Dunn and Bessie Bryant of Topton North Carolina; one sister-in-law Carolyn (Terry); 8 grandchildren, Tiffany (Nick), Troy (Shekinyah), Brandon, Chase, Savannah, Eli, Hayden, and Penelope. and 6 great-grandchildren.

Claudiette would like to thank all her Grace Journey Church family, friends and relatives for their prayers, kindness and support during Cecil’s sickness.
