Cecil Woodrow Reaves, age 80, of Stoneybrook Drive, Lexington passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Abbotts Creek.    Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, May 17, 2012 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites by Lexington Memorial Lodge 473. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday and at other times at the home.   Cecil was born in Columbus County, NC August 8, 1931 to Captain Franklin Reaves and Pauline Herring Reaves.  He was a retired employee of Chesapeake Corp. with 30 years of service and later worked for Davidson County as a Box Site Attendant. He was a Mason and a member of the Lexington Memorial Lodge 473; and a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Jo Walker; a brother, Frankie Reaves.   Cecil is survived by his wife; Daisy Younts Reaves of the home; sisters, Grace Mildred Cribb of Holden Beach, NC; Sally Faye (Peggy) Garber of Baltimore, MD and Barbara Ann (Pat) Parrish and husband Buddy of Ocean City MD; step-sons, Danny Everhart of Shallotte, NC and B.J. Everhart of Lexington; step-grandsons, Kenneth and Tim Everhart; several nieces and nephews; and two special great nieces, Dana Koonts and Samantha Hunt.   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC  27292   The family would like to thank the staff of Abbotts Creek for all their love, support and compassion given to the family and Cecil during his stay.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
