Chadric “Chad” Lee Newsome, 26, of Reich Street, died suddenly, Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010, at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with Preacher Clyde Akers and the Rev. James Messer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. Mr. Newsome was born March 3, 1984, in Davidson County, to Randy Lee Newsome and Joni Sue Davis Grubb. He was of the Baptist faith and a material handler at Asco Power. Surviving are his father, Randy Lee Newsome of Lexington; his mother, Joni Grubb and step-father, Tommy Ray Grubb, of Lexington; fiancé, Sharicka Chante Holloway of the home; son, Jaelan Newsome of the home; grandparents, Dianne Grubb and Butch Grubb; sisters, Tamara Newsome and fiancé, Alonzo Taliaferro; nephews, Alonzo Bernard Taliaferro and Michael Deshaun Taliaferro; uncle, Dr. Keith Davis of Boone; and numerous other family members and friends.
