Chandler Jordan Vanover, 23, of Davidson County, passed away on December 11, 2025. Born on January 6, 2002, Chandler was the son of the late Timothy Wayne Vanover and Alicia Lee Kennedy. He was born and raised in Davidson County, where he built a life rooted in family, faith, and a love for the outdoors.
Chandler was well known as an outstanding athlete at North Davidson High School, where he proudly represented his school playing basketball and football. His favorite overall sport he played was basketball, where his athletic ability, determination, and team spirit earned the respect of teammates, coaches, and friends alike.
Chandler had a deep passion for adventure and adrenaline, finding joy riding dirt bikes, side-by-sides, and spending time outdoors with friends and family. While he loved the thrill of adventure, his greatest joy was found at home with those he loved most. Chandler absolutely adored his wife, Carthy, and his son, Ledger, cherishing every precious moment spent with them. He was a devoted husband and a proud, loving father—a true family man whose love and commitment were evident to all who knew him.
A man of strong faith, Chandler accepted Christ at the age of 12 and was a faithful member of Reeds Baptist Church. His faith guided his life and strengthened his devotion to his family.
Chandler was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Wayne Vanover.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Carthy Vanover; his son, Ledger Vanover; his mother, Alicia Lee Kennedy; his brothers: Caden Vanover (Destiny), Chris Moxley, and Kenneth Dellinger; his sister, Ari Kennedy; his grandparents, Jerry Kennedy and Judy Gandy; his grandma Betsy Vanover; his parents-in-law, Shannon Snyder and Ben Miller; his brother-in-law, Corben Miller (Faith), and their soon-to-be son, Colsen; and his grandparents-in-law, Pete and Gaynell Snyder.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home of Lexington. A funeral service to honor Chandler’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Reeds Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Chandler will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, athletic talent, unwavering faith, and above all, his deep love for his family. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.
