Charlene Beeker Swicegood

Charlene Kathryn Beeker Swicegood, 75, a resident of Lexington, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 in Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born in Davidson County on March 7, 1947 to the late Burton C. and Elaine Snyder Beeker. She retired from Davidson County Community College where she was a secretary. Charlene loved to cook, and in turn loved to serve her meals to all her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and was a faithful member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Tyro. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 2:00PM in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will begin prior to the service at 1:00PM. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 4299 S North Carolina Hwy 150, Lexington, NC 27295.

Charlene is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Garland Swicegood, of the home; a sister Ruth Sink of Lexington; and several loving nieces and nephews.
