Charles "Bear" Bailey

Charles “Bear” Thomas Bailey, Jr., 72, of Denton passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Lexington City Cemetery with the Rev. Lomax Skinner officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Cemetery following the service. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, face coverings and social distancing are encouraged.

Mr. Bailey was born in Davidson County on April 28, 1948 to Charles Thomas Bailey, Sr. and Wilma Dorsett Bailey. He was a retired tow truck driver, having worked for Clark Motor Company and was a loving father and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Wilson Bailey.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Scott Bailey of Advance and Dawn Bailey Carter of FL; four grandchildren, Sierra Young, Bentley Bailey, Palmer Bailey, and Eylanni Carter; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
