Charles Jefferson "Bill" Jenkins, 71, of Jenkins Road, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Randy B. Robbins. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery with military graveside rites. Mr. Jenkins was born in Davidson County on Sept. 8, 1936, to Charles Jefferson Jenkins Sr. and Sylvia Moncus Jenkins. He was a member of Believer's Baptist Church, a retired employee of Davidson EMC with 33 years of service and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Janice Church Jenkins; a brother, Clifford "Sonny" Jenkins; and sisters Jessie Rosebury and Marie McPeak. Surviving are his wife, Della Moore Jenkins, whom he married in 1981; two daughters, Lori Pfaff and Donna Edwards and her husband, Tim, all of Lexington; two sons, Jeff Jenkins and Tim Kesler and his wife, Linda, all of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Drew Pfaff, Hunter Jenkins, Chris Edwards, Nick Edwards, Bradley Kesler, Bryon Kesler and Kendra Kesler; and two sisters, Edith Torrence and Ruby Kimbrell, both of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O. Box 1941, Lexington,
