Born in Davidson County on September 6, 1940, to Arthur Wade Broadway and Margaree Garner Broadway, Charles grew up surrounded by love and family values. He was a faithful member of Bethany Church, where he found solace and community throughout his life. Charles dedicated many years of service to Stroh's Brewery, where he applied his skills in electrical maintenance. His commitment to his work was matched only by his passion for life outside of the workplace. Known for his love of motorcycling and his skill as an avid fisherman, Charles embraced adventure with an open heart. His friendly demeanor meant he never met a stranger; indeed, he was a friend to everyone he encountered.
Charles was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald Broadway, and Larry Broadway.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Gail Broadway; his son, Randall Broadway (Tabitha); his daughter, Angela Broadway Yarborough; and his grandson, Dalton Broadway. His memory will also be cherished by a host of dear friends whose lives he touched in profound ways. He will also be missed by his faithful little dog, Riley.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be directed to Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington is honored to be serving the Broadway family during this difficult time. Charles will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
