Charles Henry Brooks Sr.

Charles Henry Brooks Sr., 83, of Brookstone Retirement Center in Lexington, died Friday March 3, 2017 at the retirement center.  A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday March 12, 2017, at Bethany United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Revs. Mark Hollar, Allen Van Meter and David Talbert officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm at the church prior to the service.  Mr. Brooks was born September 27, 1933, in Davidson County, to Robert Warner Brooks and Jessie Bencini Brooks. He retired from Alma Desk in High Point. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as sons, Andy Brooks and Mike Neally, a brother, Buddy Brooks and three sisters, Helen Dillon, Betsy Boozer and Patsy Brooks.  Surviving are his wife, whom he married in 1985, Doris Jean Hill Brooks, of the home, one son Charles “Chip” Jr. and wife Lisa, three daughters, Pat Dimery, of Lexington,  Susan Brooks, and Cindy Dennis both of High Point, 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.  Memorials may be made to Brookstone Retirement Center, Memory Care Unit, 2968 Old Salisbury Road Lexington, NC 27295
