Charles "Bud" Childress, Jr.

Charles “Bud” Farrell Childress Jr., 49, of Foy Avenue, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, following a sudden illness. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2010, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. David Shaffer officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2010, at the funeral home and other times at the home of his sister, Patricia Walters, 190 Reedyfork Drive . Mr. Childress was born January 29, 1960, in Forsyth County, to Charles Farrell Childress Sr. and Glenda Gail Willard Hunt. He was a truck driver with Lexington City and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his mother; brothers, Wayne Childress of Rural Hall and John Childress and wife, Jenae, of Oklahoma; sisters, Patricia Walters and husband, David, and Angel Chriscoe, all of Lexington.
