Charles "Chuck" Walker Chandler

Charles “Chuck” Walker Chandler Jr, 62, of Davidson County, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Lexington Medical Center.

A visitation will be 11am-12 pm Saturday February 17, 2024 at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel.

Chuck was born on January 4, 1962, Lexington, VA, to the late Delton McGirt and Frances Ellen Reid McGirt.

He worked for many years in contracting as a painter and enjoyed racing. However, Chuck loved most in life his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a devoted father and a loving husband to his wife of 42 years, Libby.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory, is the love of his life, wife, Mary “Libby” Chandler, of the home; son Chad Chandler (Brenna), of Lexington; daughters, Alisha Maxwell (Nicholas), of Lexington, and Jenny Sykes, of Thomasville; brothers, Larry Chandler (Beverly), Ken Chandler (Lynette), and Ricky Chandler; sister, Tammy McGirt; grandchildren, Jared Chandler, Katelyn Chandler, Nicky Maxwell, Kirsten Sykes, Bryan Sykes Jr, Bradley Maxwell, Karlee Sykes, and Maddox Gryder; and many extended friends and family.
