Charles Gordon Crouch Sr., 75, of Owens Farm Road, died Monday, February 21, 2011, at Hinkle Hospice House, following two years of declining health.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Revs. Bruce Morasco and Charlie Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mr. Crouch was born February 23, 1935, in Richmond County, to Nellie Elizabeth Crouch. He was a furniture repairman at Transit Damage Furniture.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Ruth Owens Crouch of the home; son, Chuck Crouch Jr. and wife, Debra, of Denton; daughters, Angie Grubb and husband, Tim, and Sherry Pagels and husband, Warren, all of Lexington; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Glenda Darnell Crouch of Rockingham.
