Charles Douglas Leonard

Charles Douglas “Doug” Leonard, age 74, of Floyd Church Road, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 4,2025 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 9 at Central Baptist Church on Highway 47, with Rev. Jeff Purdue officiating.

Burial will follow in the Cotton Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Sunday prior to the service and other times at the home.

Doug was born on October 19, 1951, in Davidson County to CA and Peggy Leonard. He was a project manager for Forsyth Mechanical for 35 years which entailed remodeling JC Penney.

He is survived by his wife Penny Leonard of 45 years and son, Dustin Shane and wife Holly, who he loved with all his heart, his grandson Logan Berg, who he was always excited to see, his brother, Terry Leonard and his wife Robin. Those he loved dearly include Janet and Gene Money, Donna and Tim Scarlett, Kristi and David Houser, and their children; Madison and husband Jacob, Abby, Seth, Josiah, and Marianne, also a new member of the family, Miss Emmy, that touched his heart.

Doug will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
