Charles Ventress Favre Jr.

Mr. Charles Ventress Favre Jr., 93 of Courtney Lane, passed away Thursday October 31, 2024, at his home.

A funeral will be held Wednesday November 6, 2024, at 2PM, at First Baptist Church of Welcome with Reverend Dr. Chris Griggs officiating. A private committal service will be held following the service at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Favre was born in Pensacola, Florida on December 13, 1930 to Charles Ventress Favre Sr. and Katie Cling Thompson Favre.

He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, bird watching, fishing, guns, and had a fondness for all animals.

Along with his parents, he is proceeded in death by a daughter Marie Butterbaugh.

Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 55 years Shirley of the home. Son Frank (Alyssa) of Mocksville. Grandchildren Megan, and Lewie (Chelsea), and Great Grandchildren Cayli and Riley. Son in law Tim Butterbaugh.
