Charles Edward Forshee, 92, of Cullen Court, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at Hinkle Hospice House. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2017, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating. Burial with military graveside rites will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and other times at the home. Mr. Forshee was born August 22, 1924, in Davidson County, to Henry Franklin Forshee Sr. and Mackie Belle Wrenn Forshee. He was retired from Burlington Industries where he served as a supervisor as many years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of Amvets, VFW Post 3074 and Woodman of the World. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Henry Franklin Forshee Jr. and Claude Arville Forshee; and granddaughter, Jeana L. Norman and her husband, Ronald D. Norman. Surviving are his loving wife of 70 years Tolvie Irene Coppley Forshee of the home; daughter, Myra Forshee of the home; grandson, Mark Epley; great-grandchildren, Brittney Norman, Kyle Smith, Tyler Norman, and Mariah Norman; and sister, Lucille F. Leonard of Lexington. The family would like to thank the staff of Hinkle Hospice House for the special care given to Charles during his time of sickness.
