Charles Andrew Fox

Charles Andrew Fox Sr, 71, of Davidson County, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.

Following the visitation, a funeral will be held at 2:00 in the chapel with Pastor Don Clement officiating.

Burial will conclude services at North Lexington Church cemetery.

Charles was born on July 12, 1955, in Tazewell County, Virginia, to the late Earl J. Fox and Heneirtta Myers Fox. He worked for many years and retired from Stanley Furniture.

Always enjoying staying busy, he found fulfillment in working with his hands by gardening, mechanic and autobody projects, and being outside.

His love for his family knew no bounds and he spent as much time as possible with them, teaching his sons and grandsons the skill of mechanic work, watching his grandchildren, and devoting his heart to his wife.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Letitia Eastridge; three sisters, Velve Sue Fox, of VA, Carol Ann Whitt, of VA, and Lovella Sparks, of Lexington; two brothers, Johnny Gillespie, and Elmer Fox; and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary Fox, of the home; three sons, Charles Andrew Fox Jr. (Crystal), Michael Spicer (Susan), and Chad Cornwell (Chrissy); five grandsons, Andrew Fox, Logan Fox, Noah Hayes, Matthew Cornwel, and Brent Allen; one granddaughter, Kelli Hughes; two brothers, Daniel Dean Fox, and Junior Fox; and his two precious furbaby companions, Baby Grey and Bobby Boo.
