Charles Lohr Leonard

Charles Lohr Leonard, 68, of William Lane, died Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at Lexington Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Robert Floyd and Pastor Larry Cope. Burial will follow in Paul’s Chapel United Church of Christ Cemetery. Mr. Leonard was born December 17, 1939, in Davidson County to Fred Leonard and Bertha Sykes Leonard. He was a forming operator at PPG and a member of North Lexington Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Leonard; and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife, Grace Geraldine Martin Leonard of the home; sons, Wayne Leonard and wife, Jan, and Timmy Leonard and wife, Wendy, all of Lexington; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; brothers, Walter Leonard of Lexington and Jerry Leonard of Ocean Isle; and a sister, Gladys White of Welcome. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
