Mr. Charles Washington McDade, 88, formerly of Fairview Dr., Lexington died Monday, June 14, 2010 at Lexington Memorial Hospital after declining health of one week. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2010, at First Baptist Church Chapel, with Rev. Tommy Wilson and Rev. Chris Bitterman officiating. Burial will be in the Lexington City Cemetery. Mr. McDade was born January 11, 1922 in Greenville, SC to Eston Taylor McDade and Rena Alexander McDade. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a retired self employed accountant. He was a member of the Central Carolina Civitans and a US Army veteran having served in WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lewis McDade, who died in March 2006, and a brother, Furman L. McDade. Surviving are two sons, Thomas Charles McDade and wife, Charlita, of Las Vegas, and Eston T. (Scott) McDade of Florida, his daughters, Charlye M. Phillips of Raleigh, and Michelle M. DeLapp and husband, Sim, of Lexington, Mary Margaret McDade, and Barbara Helene McRorie and husband, Alonza, both of Greenville, NC; his grandchildren, Elizabeth D. Simerson and husband, Corey, Laura D. DeLapp, Charles Thomas McDade, Barbara M. Kramer and husband, Alex, Jarod McDade, Marnie McDade, Olivia C. Lewis, and Annie S. Lewis; his great grandchildren, Burke A. Simerson, William J. Simerson, Eliza Jane Simerson and Jude Alexander DeLapp; a brother, Carroll T. McDade and wife, Jewell, of Lexington and two sisters, Helen M Linder and Evelyn M. Kepley and husband, Don, both of Lexington
