Charles Wayne Melton, Jr.

Charles Wayne Melton, Jr. age 50, of Julia Lane, Lexington passed away Friday night, March 30, 2012 at Hinkle Hospice House.  Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 4, 2012 At CenterPoint Church with Rev. Barry Surratt officiating.   The family will receive friends at the church following the service.   Also, there will be a Memorial Service, 11:00 am Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Bishop’s Chapel in Woodlawn, VA with Rev. Jimmy Harmon and Pastor Terri Gregory officiating.   Charles was born in Guilford County, September 20, 1961 to Charles Wayne Melton, Sr. and Dortha Parks Melton.  Since 2000 he has owned and operated Lexington Auto Glass.  He served his country in the US Army from 1979 until 1983. He was preceded in death by his parents.   Surviving are his wife Liza Mize Melton of the home; one son, Steven Spangle and wife Amanda of Lexington; sister, Sheila Spencer of Mt. Airy; brother, Kevin Melton of Mt.
