Charles Franklin Norman

Charles Franklin Norman 70, of Enterprise Road, died Wednesday October 29, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. The Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. John Woods. Burial will follow at Midway Baptist Church cemetery. The Winston Salem Moose # 466 Old Salisbury Road will host a reception for the family and friends after the burial. Mr. Norman was born May 21,1938 in Forsyth County to Dewey and Nancy Woodle Norman. He was a retired painting supervisor with Forsyth Medical Center. A 28 year member of the Winston Salem Moose Lodge. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3, sisters and 4, brothers. Surviving are his loving wife Joyce Lee Miller Norman of the home; sons, Johnny Norman and wife Susan of Walburg, Donnie Norman and wife Marty of Lewisville; two daughters, Diane Miller and husband Jim of Welcome, and Janet Autry and husband Paul (Stuart) of Arcadia; 8, grandchildren and 4, great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm Friday October 31, 2008 and at other times at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to; Hospice & Palliative Care Centers of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103, The family would like to thank all their special friends, for their kindness during Charles’ illness.
