Charles Edward Pfannes Jr.

Charles Edward Pfannes Jr. age 82 of Winston Salem passed away Sunday May 15, 2022, at his home. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Mr. Pfannes was born August 1, 1939, in Westchester County, New York to the late Charles Edward Pfannes Sr. and Margaret Gallagher Pfannes. He retired from IBM and was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. He was a certified coach in many different High School sports and also taught History in several schools in New York and North Carolina. He served as Scoutmaster earning the top award as A Silver Beaver. Charles has written and published 8 books on WWII. He thoroughly enjoyed his huge train layout at his home.

Surviving are his loving wife Lillian Kultzow Pfannes of the home. His Sons, Thomas (Susette) Pfannes of Lexington and John (Susan) Pfannes of Welcome. His daughter, Jennifer Pfannes (Cal Rolon) of New York. Four grandchildren, Amber, Eileen, Cal, and Trevor.
