Charles "Sonny" Williams

Charles “Sonny” Clyde Williams, Sr., 81, of Lexington went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 04, 2021 at Accordius Health in Lexington.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, March 7, 2021 in the Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Rick Lebaube officiating.

Mr. Williams to some known as Sonny and to others known as Tiny was born in Fallston on May 30, 1939 to Colus Williams and Beulah Jarvis Williams. He was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and attended Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Mr. Williams was a loving father, brother, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Lala Williams; his first wife, Betty Grubb Williams; his second wife, Ruth Waitman Williams; and his sister, Linda Bridges.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Chuck Williams (Angela) of Lexington and Scottie Williams (Tobi) of Winston Salem; a brother, Floyd Williams of Casar; a step-brother, Doug Tysinger; two grandchildren, Thad Williams (Megan) and Casey Williams; and two great-grandchildren, Finley and Abram Williams.
