Charles “Spot” Edward Thompson, age 49 of Wilson Drive, Lexington passed away Tuesday morning in Clinton after a period of declining health. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Arlan Faircloth and burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery.
Spot was born in Davidson County April 21, 1958 to Clifford Thompson and Martha Ann Whitehead Thompson. He was a self employed core supplier, preceded in death by his father Clifford Thompson and a sister Roxanne Thompson.
Surviving are: Son; Eddie Thompson of Lexington, Mother; Martha Whitehead Spangler of Lexington, Sisters; Dameatrice Swing, and Tonya Owle both of Lexington and Pateama Simerson and husband Terry of Linwood, Brother; Clifford Thompson, Jr. of Lexington, 7 Nieces and Nephews 6 Great Nieces and Nephews, Father figure to; Brad, Amber, Cassie, Arlan, Angel and Jamie, and a close family friend Anthony.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Friday night at Davidson funeral Home and at other times at the home on Wilson Drive, Lexington.
