Charles Delano White

Charles Delano White, Sr., 79 of Old Greensboro Rd., Thomasville, passed away Tuesday October 13th at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday October 16th at Trinity United Methodist Church with Revs. Billy Jarrett and Jim Groome. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Military Graveside Rites by Davidson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home. Mr. White was born in Rowan County on August 9, 1936 to James M. White and Nell Carter White. He was a retired truck driver for Swing Transportation and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he served on the Pastor Parrish Relations Committee. He also proudly served his country in the US Army and was a member of Amvet Post 13 and American Legion Post 8. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Lila Lanning White and sons, Jeff White of Thomasville and Chuck White(Sharon) of Lexington and grandchildren, Whitney White Anthony (Josh), Emily White, Kirsten White, Eric White and Ethan White and great grandchildren, Kaileigh, Jaxsen and Lucas.
