Charles "Butch" Young

Charles “Butch” Young, 69, of Gray Mill Road, died Friday, February 03, 2017, at his home.   The funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Becks Reformed Church with the Rev. James Byers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017.   Mr. Young was born January 1, 1948, in Davidson County, to Dallas Young and Rhea Younts Young. He was a charter member of Golden Triangle Coon Club and had worked at Lexington Furniture Industries. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Ruby Young.   Surviving are his loving wife Alice Roberts Young of the home; son, Steven Young and wife Tara of Lexington; daughter Sheila Abbott and husband Matt of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Haley, Elizabeth, Brooke, Lily, Kendall and Zachary; brother, J.T. Young; and sisters, Martha Frank and husband Hubert and Jean Shipton and husband William, all of Lexington.
