Charlie Franklin Blackwell

Charlie Franklin Blackwell, age 61 of New Jersey Church Road, Lexington passed away at his home Sunday morning. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 17, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Blackwell was born April 7, 1953 in Columbus County, NC to Burris Blackwell and Josephine Reynolds Blackwell. He was a machine operator for PGT Windows & Doors. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Jolly Blackwell of the home; three sons, Jonathan Lee Gordon, Kyle Franklin Blackwell both of Lexington, Timothy Capps of Salisbury; six daughters, Joyce B. Hall (Roger), Clara B. Moll (Keith K.C.), Tonya Johnson (Chris), Amanda Lio (Rau) all of Lexington; Tamela B. Cox (Carl) of Trinity, LaShona Capps Adkins (Matt) of High Point; 21 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; three brothers, Jimmy Blackwell (Peggy), Joe Blackwell, Wayne Blackwell (Janie) all of Lexington and a sister, Kathy B.
